Refund Policy

The Caring for Young Minds Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) Tour travels during Spring Break in coordination with the Baltimore County Public School System. Registrations for the Caring for Young Minds Black College Tour begin at the beginning of the Academic School Year – typically the month of August.  Any cancellations or request for refunds must be made before December 31 of the Academic School year and prior to Spring Break.  All funds will be refunded; however, the cost of the registration fee is nonrefundable and non-transferable; however, it may be used for a new registration.  Refunds will not be provided for request made after December 31st of the academic year.

Circumstances beyond the control of the Tour organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations, rescheduling or cancellations of the tour, school(s) and activities. Therefore, Caring for Young Minds reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised itinerary if necessary.  All registered participants will be automatically shifted to the rescheduled event(s) at no additional cost.  Any substitutions, alterations or rescheduled itineraries will be updated on the company’s web site as soon as possible.

We realize that exceptional circumstance can take place with regard to the character of the Tour we provide. THEREFORE, WE DO HONOR REQUESTS FOR REFUND WHERE THE FOLLOWING REASONS APPLY:

  1. Non-delivery of service: such as, for example, due to some reason 3 or more of the schools listed on the originally published itinerary has changed and your desire to attend the tour has diminished;
  2. Should there be an extreme illness on the part of the student or parent which precludes them from traveling during the time of the Tour;
  3. The Tour was not-as-described: a request based on this reason is satisfied on a case by case basis with Caring for Young Minds reserving full discretion to make the determination whether a refund is appropriate.

Request for refund must be made via e-mail to lawrencew1966@gmail.com. A cancellation acknowledgement email will be sent within 3 working days and fees refunded within 10 working days, subject to this Refund Policy.  Where Caring for Young Minds offers a non-tangible irrevocable service, we do not issue refunds for the tour once completed.

As a customer, you are responsible for understanding this refund policy upon registering for the Tour on our website or in-person.
